History & Operations
A Long History in the Santa Ynez Valley
Buellflat Rock has deep roots in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Historical records show that the company was operating in the early 1960s under H. George Petersen & Sons, producing sand and aggregates from materials sourced from the Santa Ynez River using crushers and screening systems.
Over the decades the operation expanded while maintaining its commitment to quality materials and reliable service.
Operations Today
The Buellflat Rock operation spans approximately 200 acres in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Current operations include:
Aggregate mining and processing
A screening and processing plant fed by loaders
Construction equipment used for material handling and production
The site is currently deep mining, allowing continued production of aggregate materials for regional construction needs.
The property also includes Butler building rentals and equipment storage areas that support the broader operation.
Materials Production
Materials are processed through a plant that sorts and screens sand and rock to produce consistent, high quality aggregate products used in construction and landscaping projects.
Customers include contractors, builders, landscapers, and residents across the Central Coast.
